Here at A Bit of Sum Sum, our team is dedicated to providing products and services that help improve the lives of those affected by Alzhiemer’s disease, both patients and caregivers alike. We know how difficult it is to watch a loved one struggle with the challenges of aging and lacking the resources to help them.

During my early adult years, I helped my father care for his aunt and uncle as they both struggled with dementia. We tip-toed carefully to avoid angering my paranoid uncle and guided my aunt around as she was often unfamiliar with of the activities and individuals around her. At the time I didn’t know much about how to help or support my family members as they made transitions from their home of many decades into a nursing home or when my aunt was hospitalized and only wanted to return home with my uncle. I feel the uncertainty and eagerness to help those you care about is universal, many of us do not know what to do in these types of situations.

While there is nothing we can do to fix the situation, we can utilize tools that ease the situation and help calm and support those involved.

Our company is focused on improving the lives of those afflicted with degenerative deseases, cognitive impairments, and their family members. It is our hope that our products will help to ease the stress and pain that comes with these afflictions as they are designed to be calming and help improve skills that deteriorate with the onset of such diseases and conditions.

While there is no cure for Alzhiemer’s disease we are committed to helping the research towards one by donating to the Alzhiemer’s Association (alz.org). A portion of every purchase will be donated to the Alzhiemer’s Association to support their efforts in research and aiding others affected by this disease.
